How to use HockeyApp with Status Board
This article described how to put your HockeyApp statistics into Panic's awesome Status Board iPad app.
You can put two HockeyApp charts into Status Board:
This charts shows the number of downloads, installs, and crashes for the last 5 versions. Example:
This chart shows the number of crashes for an app over the past 30 days. Example:
Status Board has a handy URL scheme, so if you open HockeyApp on your iPad, you can integrate the charts directly with a few taps:
Create an API token or make sure you have at least one read-only token.
For the Base Metrics chart, go to your app page, scroll down, then tap the Status Board icon in the lower left corner of the chart (see below).
For the Crashes Over Time chart, go to your app page, open the "Crashes" tab, tab on the button with the chart icon, then tap the Status Board icon in the lower left corner of the chart.
Note: The generated URLs contain your HockeyApp API token. If you share the status board, you will disclose this API token to the recipient!
If you want to have more control over which API token is used, you can create the API URL yourself:
Create an API token or use an existing one. A read-only token is sufficient.
Open a second tab and go to the page of your app on HockeyApp. Copy the App ID.
For the Base Metrics chart, construct the following URL:
Replace API_TOKEN with your API token and APP_ID with your App ID.
For the Crashes Over Time chart, construct the following URL:
Replace API_TOKEN with your API token and APP_ID with your App ID. You can also scope this URL to a specific version:
You can find the version ID by going to the version's page. The last number in the URL is the ID.
Open Status Board, select the graph widget, then paste the generated URL.
