How to sign up for a paid plan

This article gives an overview about the signup process.

Trial Plan

With the trial plan, you get the Basic Plan with all features for free for 1 month. We require no credit card for registration! You can sign up for it directly from the plans page.

Paid Plan

Once your trial is expired, you can continue to use HockeyApp with our free plan. Or you can sign up for a paid plan:

What are the benefits of upgrading my account?

• You can create and upload new apps and new versions
• You can add developers and testers to your apps
• You can distribute beta versions and collect test statistics for your apps
• You can continue to collect full standard crash reports for beta and live apps, including server-side symbolication and grouping of similar crashes

What if I decide not to upgrade?

• You will not be able to create new apps or add new testers to current apps
• You can participate as a developer for other apps or as a tester

How to upgrade?

1. Sign in with your HockeyApp account, then click on your name in the blue navigation bar and select "Billing". Or just visit this page.
2. Select one of our plans.
3. If you trial plan has more than 3 days left, HockeyApp will ask you if you really want to sign up.
4. Fill out the contact information and mailing address. Note that you can enter a different email address than for your HockeyApp account, e.g. the email address of your finance departments like finance@yourcompany.com.
5. Select a payment method and press "Next".

The next steps depend on your payment method:

Credit Card

1. Enter your credit card number, expiration date, and security code.
2. If you are a European company, you can enter your VAT ID to get VAT removed from the plan. Don't forget to press "Update VAT ID".
3. If you have a promo code, you can enter it here and then update your price via "Update Coupon".
4. Continue with "Complete Order".
5. You can now go back to HockeyApp and your account should be immediately upgraded. If not, please contact support.

PayPal

1. You should be on the PayPal login page. Sign in with your PayPal credentials.
2. Follow the usual steps through the PayPal process.
3. At the end, you should be redirected back to the order page for HockeyApp.
4. If you are a European company, you can enter your VAT ID to get VAT removed from the plan. Don't forget to press "Update VAT ID".
5. If you have a promo code, you can enter it here and then update your price via "Update Coupon".
6. Continue with "Complete Order".
7. You can now go back to HockeyApp and your account should be immediately upgraded. If not, please contact support.
