Current status of Sandboxed Mac Apps?

My company is about to submit a sandboxed Mac app to the App Store. I believe that sandboxed apps are not currently supported by Hockey App. If that is the case: 1) do I need to rip out everything QuincyKit-releated, and 2) what is the current time-frame for supporting sandboxed apps?

Thanks for your help.

    Hello Andrew,

sandbox support is today possible by using temporary entitlements. The following is the one you need:

    com.apple.security.temporary-exception.files.home-relative-path.read-only
    Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

This enables the SDK to access the crash report folder and continue to work as if there would be no sandbox.

But since this is not a final solution, we announced a new SDK today which will go into private beta this coming monday, see: http://www.hockeyapp.net/blog/2012/4/27/mac-os-x-sandbox-support-is...

We hope to finish the beta phase within a couple of weeks, as soon as we are confident there the SDK is stable and reliable.

    Hope this helps,
    Andreas
