I am distributing an app with enterprise profile. It installs ok for most people, but one user gets the error (console): "unable to create directory for provisioning profiles: permission denied" and then "could not install embedded profile"

    Hello Jørund,

the installation process we are using is completely iOS driven, we just trigger it to start. So the error is something iOS internal, we can't do anything about from our side.

So, these are just some ideas, we can't tell you exactly what the problem is:
    - Did the user try to restart the device and try again? - Is the device jailbroken? Maybe that is causing the problem. - Does the installation work manually by downloading the app and installing via Organizer or iTunes?

    Best,
    Andreas

For others with the same problem: I solved it by manually installing the provisioning profile with iPhone Configuration utility.
